Saint Remy Lane

11 & 12 Remy Lane underwent a small remodel on the main house which then included an additional large pool structure and a tricky spiral stair.
The steel was sourced from local suppliers and manufacturers where available from New Zealand and Australia.
During the design process, a lot of thought had to go into the way the pool structure would be transported to site as Remy Lane is a small narrow road in the hills in Redcliffs, Christchurch.
Our detailer designed the pool structure in a way where it could be split into two parts with two Hera bolted connections approved by the engineer.
The house itself nears the middle of this lane. The steel was transported to site on two flat deck trucks meeting our 100-tonne crane setup halfway down the lane just above the house location. Our staff then plucked the steel from above the crane then swung over to the hill face.
The spiral stair includes tricky rolled Corten steel sections finished with rust sealer.
The residence will also include future out-buildings including a garage, pool house, and guest house. Design pending. as the owner wants to keep adding to their project.
