We’re proud to be working on such an iconic project in the heart of Christchurch City – the Christ Church Cathedral Reinstatement!
The key stages are:
1. Pre-construction
2. Cathedral Stabilisation – (current works 2021)
3. Cathedral Strengthening and Reinstatement
4. Ancillary Buildings and Tower

Colombo St Hotel for Cook Brothers Construction
Because of this central city location and the length of these columns, we have to transport and complete the lifts at night. The longest column pictured is 25m long and weighs 17 tonnes! This will complete the 5th storey.

Commercial Structural Steel project at Avenger Cresent, Christchurch.

In 2017 we completed all the structural steel for this heritage style building at 177 High St, Central City. One of our favourite features is the laser cut architectural stairway we built at our Bromley factory and had delivered to site and lifted into place as one unit! The building itself was completed stage by stage meaning as each floor was completed we completed a level of structural steel.

Walkway & Structural Steel completed for corrections centre.

Architectural build being built by R&B Builders.
Project completed in Silverstream, North Canterbury.
In the photos you will see before and after pictures of the rafters being fixed to the steel.

Our residential division recently completed structural steel on this architectural 2 storey seaside home in Redcliffs.
Some quick information – building area = 223m2. Under a week to erect our steel. We had a 25t crane onsite and used for the main lifts and our spider crane used for the smaller lifts in the tight spots. There are 5 main portals which add up to approximately 8t of structural steel in this home.
This project was completed on the busiest road leading into Sumner and our team performed the job safely and efficiently with minimal disturbance to traffic.

Some recent and early pictures from our structural steel works at the new Earth & Sky – Observatory in Lake Tekapo, New Zealand!
At the end of this job we utilised our spider crane – perfect for getting into areas where there is no access for a crane or manitou.
We had Stunning views of the lake for the 6-8 months we were here completing the different parts of the structural steel.

We’ve been busy installing a new lift shaft to an existing building that will be converted into motel/apartments.
The lift shaft was fabricated at our Bromley workshop then delivered and assembled on site.
Once ready it was lifted into place in two lifts to create a 7 storey lift shaft.
Once completed this will eventually be enclosed including the stairway on the left of it which we are also strengthening for seismic movement.
We have also completed some structural steel in the basement to allow for a 7 story extension to be constructed above.
We are also completing the roof steel for this extension.
