Project Overview:
The Christchurch City Fire Station was the largest rebuild within the $78 million government-funded redevelopment. This project saw 12 fire station rebuilds across Christchurch, with VIP Steel installing five of these.
The Christchurch City Fire Station consists of the main building, four-bay garage, communication/aerial pole, and 15-metre-tall training tower. The tower was fabricated in our Bromley workshop and then delivered to site in two pieces. Once assembled on site, the 25-tonne training tower was lifted into place with two cranes.
